Nintendo is set to host a dedicated Nintendo Direct presentation for the upcoming PvE Splatoon spin-off, Splatoon Raiders, on June 30. The announcement coincides with the release of a new gameplay trailer highlighting the third-person shooter mechanics players can expect when the game launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23.

The new trailer showcases more of the gameplay for Splatoon Raiders, which puts players in the role of a customizable Inkling mechanic. This mechanic partners with Deep Cut, the musical trio from Splatoon 3, to travel to the Spirhalite Islands and battle against the villainous Salmonids. Players will utilize familiar paint-based weaponry, including guns and brushes, in this single-player-focused experience. Cooperative online play for up to three additional players will also be available.

Leading up to the July 23 release, Nintendo is offering additional content through the Nintendo Today app. This includes daily comic strips detailing the story events that precede Splatoon Raiders. Furthermore, a Splatoon Raiders Splatfest is scheduled for July.

Nintendo also previously confirmed that three new Amiibo figures, featuring Raiders versions of Shiver, Big Man, and Frye, will be released alongside Splatoon Raiders on launch day.
