Capcom is expanding the merchandising of Street Fighter 6 with an unconventional product line: official "gaming fragrances" for select characters. The initial release features scents inspired by Ingrid, Juri, and Ed, developed by Japanese fragrance company CODE Meee.

Each fragrance oil set includes a wood diffuser and comes in a character-specific tin. The scents are described with terminology aimed at fighting game players, suggesting benefits for in-game performance. Ingrid's fragrance is crafted to "enhance clarity in stock accumulation and release timing," referencing her gameplay mechanic of charging stocks for powerful attacks. Its scent profile includes "a light opening of grapefruit and leafy green" to evoke a "continuous flow."

Juri's scent is designed to make "hit-confirms feel razor-sharp," a nod to precise combo execution. Ed's fragrance aims to assist players in executing "counter pokes without getting whiff-punished," highlighting his character's long-reaching attacks. The scent for Ed is described as a combination of "bergamot and the warmth of vetiver" to create a "relaxing space."

Street Fighter 6 game director Takayuki Nakayama expressed support for the collaboration, stating that the fragrances aim to deepen the player's connection with their favorite characters. He noted that they provide "the focus essential for long gaming sessions and a refreshing sensation that gently soothes a mind heated by intense matches."

The fragrance sets are priced at 6,850 yen (approximately $42) and are expected to last for about 30 uses per bottle. Shipping is scheduled to begin in mid-October. CODE Meee, the manufacturer, positions itself as a company that provides optimal scents based on data and has previously collaborated with artists and VTubing agencies.

However, the product includes a disclaimer stating that "We do not guarantee the effects or benefits of the fragrance," meaning players will still need to rely on traditional practice and strategy to improve their competitive performance in Street Fighter 6.
