Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2026 has concluded its week-long speedrunning marathon, raising over $2.4 million for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. The event, held in Minneapolis, drew approximately 2500 in-person attendees and garnered significant viewership through its livestreams.

All proceeds from the marathon are directed to Doctors Without Borders, an organization that provides essential medical care to individuals in need globally. During the event, a short documentary titled "Return to Gaza” was screened, highlighting the organization's efforts in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The marathon featured a variety of speedrunning feats and community activities. Notable moments included Bluekandy setting a world record in Kirby Air Riders, a successful Balatro run, and an impromptu beatboxing segment during a Resident Evil: Requiem run. Beyond the speedruns, SGDQ 2026 also hosted panels, a community room for board games and music, and a vendor's alley showcasing video game-inspired art. Attendees also had opportunities to demo games.

All recorded runs from the event are available on the Games Done Quick YouTube channel. Since its inception in 2010, the Games Done Quick organization has raised more than $62 million for various charities worldwide, including the Malala Fund and the Organization for Autism Research.
