Sydney Sweeney's 2021 erotic thriller, "The Voyeurs," is experiencing a significant resurgence, climbing to the number four position on HBO Max's worldwide movie chart, according to FlixPatrol. Originally released on Prime Video in September 2021, the film has found a new and large audience on the Warner Bros. Discovery platform.

"The Voyeurs" follows Pippa, played by Sweeney, and Thomas (Justice Smith), a young couple who move into a Montreal apartment. From their new home, they gain a clear view into their neighbors' lives across the street. Initially, their observation of the neighbors, Seb (Ben Hardy) and Julia (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), is a passive curiosity. However, Pippa becomes increasingly engrossed, especially when she suspects infidelity. This fascination leads her to cross boundaries, directly involving herself in the neighbors' affairs.

The film develops into a twist-laden thriller that explores themes of obsession and the perils of making assumptions. Upon its initial release, "The Voyeurs" received mixed reviews from critics, holding a 45% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the critical reception, Sweeney's performance garnered some praise, and the movie has gained a reputation for its surprising plot twists.

Sweeney has a diverse slate of upcoming projects. She is set to reprise her role as Millie in "The Housemaid's Secret," the sequel to "The Housemaid," scheduled for December 17, 2027. Before that, she is slated to star alongside Noah Centineo in Netflix and Legendary's live-action "Gundam" movie. Additionally, Sweeney is attached to portray Edith Wharton's character Undine Spragg in an adaptation of "The Custom of the Country." She will also play Hollywood icon Kim Novak in "Scandalous!," the directorial debut of "Euphoria" co-star Colman Domingo, appearing opposite David Jonsson as Sammy Davis Jr.

While audiences await Sweeney's new releases, "The Voyeurs" demonstrates her established work continues to captivate viewers on streaming platforms.
