Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has revealed that he was the driving force behind his inclusion as a playable character in WWE 2K26. The executive confirmed that he personally requested the cameo, which was implemented during the game's third season content update.

Zelnick's appearance includes a full entrance sequence featuring custom animations and the Frank Sinatra song "My Way." The 69-year-old CEO, known for his focus on fitness, has an in-game rating of 77. He detailed his decision to pursue the role, stating, "I asked and then I went on the soundstage and I did motion capture and we all had fun with it." He felt the move would be amusing for industry insiders and potentially entertaining for some players, noting that the DLC performed well commercially.

Despite his participation in the wrestling title, Zelnick firmly dismissed any speculation about a similar appearance in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. "You will not," he stated directly, putting an end to that possibility.

In previous discussions about the WWE 2K franchise, Zelnick has expressed ambitions for its growth, suggesting it has the potential to significantly expand its current market share. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and delivering new, engaging content that aligns with the brand's identity to satisfy consumers.
