FromSoftware has officially unveiled the complete roster of playable characters, known as Bloodsworn, for its upcoming multiplayer title, The Duskbloods. This Soulslike game, built exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, will depart from the developer's typical player-created protagonists by offering a curated selection of pre-built characters, each boasting distinct weapons, superpowers, and passive abilities. While these Bloodsworn can be customized as players progress, their core identities are fixed.

The network test for The Duskbloods will provide access to six of these unique characters. Among them is Albert, designed as an approachable all-rounder for new players, equipped with a saber and submachine gun for versatile combat. Players will also encounter Bloodhound Jan, another tutorial character who wields a heavy axe and can unleash flame attacks. For those favoring agility, Trang Lanh offers a rogue-like playstyle, capable of turning invisible and summoning a giant snake. Sniper Layla combines dual-wielded blades with a long-range rifle and can deploy a Gatling gun. Senator Samir Patres utilizes a rapier and a ring that summons a spectral bird, and notably, can transform into a dinosaur. Zork, a more deliberate character, uses an undersea cable weapon and a speargun, featuring a jetpack for high-speed movement and missile attacks.

Albert's loadout includes the Lorrik’s Jeweled Saber & SMG, with a Bloodsworn Skill called Blood Blade, which fires blood projectiles, and Light of Hayern for a continuous beam attack. His aspects, High Lorrik Blood and Upriser, enhance blood-based skills and stagger potential, respectively.

Bloodhound Jan's Armament features the Bloodthirsty Axe & Stone of Sorcery, allowing for HP recovery on strong melee hits and a flame-shooting embedded stone. His skills include Blink for enhanced evasion and Surrender to my Blood for area-of-effect attacks. Bloodhand Lineage and Lord of Blood are his key aspects, aiding in HP recovery through counterattacks and boosting attack power.

Trang Lanh wields the Full Moon Blade, a versatile weapon usable for melee or thrown at range. Her Bloodsworn Skill, Darkmoon, grants temporary invisibility, while Mama Natha summons a giant serpent. Her aspects, Alluring Bride and Daughter of the Darkmoon, offer benefits such as enemy spellbinding and enhanced stealth.

Sniper Layla is armed with Hieroglyph Katars & Sniper Rifle, along with special actions for evasive attacks and precision shots. Her Bloodsworn Skill, Neb-ra Vanishing, allows for insect-form evasion, and Verd Gatling Gun deploys a powerful weapon. Neb-ra Lineage and Nighteye are her notable aspects, providing gradual HP restoration and increased lock-on range.

Senator Samir Patres uses the Senate Rapier & Soulbird Ring, capable of summoning a spectral bird and transforming into a Saurian Form. His Bloodsworn Skill includes Bloodstone, creating a blood swamp, and Saurian Form for a dinosaur charge. Blood Disciple and Unshakable Sword are his aspects, reducing skill requirements and boosting melee power after perfect guards.

Zork's loadout consists of the Undersea Cable & Speargun. His skills are Human Rocket for flight-based charges and Missile for ranged volleys. His aspects, Law of the Deep Sea and Dread Resonance, allow for HP stealing upon defeating Bloodsworn and a powerful sonic howl, respectively.

FromSoftware has indicated that the final game will feature at least a dozen playable characters. Three additional Bloodsworn have been shown in previous trailers but will not be present in the network test. The studio is breaking new ground with The Duskbloods, marking its first original title developed for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its venture into a multiplayer-only experience with Bloodborne and Dark Souls-inspired combat.
