The expansive LitRPG series, The Wandering Inn, is set to receive its first physical paperback release on August 11, marking a significant milestone after ten years as a free web serial. The series has grown to encompass 21 books and is available digitally as eBooks and audiobooks. The upcoming paperback release follows a trend seen with other self-published LitRPG authors who are also transitioning to physical editions.

Author Pirateaba, interviewed earlier this year, described the journey to a paperback release as a considerable effort, stating, "The paperback is the first project I feel like I and my team have pushed for. It took years of pitching the story to find a company that was interested and for the wave of LitRPG’s to allow a deal to come together." The author also credited the rising popularity of titles like Dungeon Crawler Carl, Beware of Chicken, and Arcane Ascension for drawing traditional publishers' attention to web serials. "A rising tide lifts all ships, and I hope I am helping in my own small way for another author to do what they want to," Pirateaba added.

Following the initial release, a staggered schedule of additional titles is planned: No Killing Goblins on September 22, Fae and Fare on October 20, and Immortal Games on November 10.

The Wandering Inn is a LitRPG series where characters from Earth are transported to a new world, gaining classes, leveling up, and acquiring skills. The narrative largely follows Erin Solstice, an Earth girl who establishes an inn after surviving the challenges of this unfamiliar realm. The series is noted for its interwoven plotlines and the evolving fantasy world influenced by its new inhabitants.

For new readers, the series is available to read online for free, with audiobook versions also recommended for those who prefer listening. The first book alone offers over 48 hours of content in its audiobook format.
