Details surrounding a potential fifth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland are currently "unclear," according to the actor himself. However, Holland has confirmed he knows when the popular character Miles Morales will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

During an interview promoting his latest film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland shared his thoughts on the future of the web-slinging franchise. When asked by 1Live what question he would pose as a Spider-Man fan, Holland immediately brought up the topic of Miles Morales.

"What would be the first question?" Holland pondered. "I guess it would be, 'When will we get Miles Morales?' would be the question I would ask – because I know the answer."

When pressed for more information, Holland playfully deflected, stating, "I'm asking the questions. I'm not answering them." This suggests that while concrete details about Miles Morales' integration into the MCU are being kept under wraps, plans are in motion, and the current Peter Parker actor is privy to them.

Miles Morales has largely remained separate from the MCU, with Sony primarily featuring the character in its animated Spider-Verse films over the past decade. Previous comments from Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige indicated that Miles Morales' MCU appearance would likely occur after the conclusion of the Spider-Verse saga.

Regarding Holland's own future as Spider-Man, he and co-star Zendaya discussed the possibility of a fifth film in a separate interview with Serieously. Holland expressed a desire to return, stating, "we would love to," but acknowledged the current ambiguity. "What is on the cards is a little unclear right now, but I'm sure that, whatever happens with Spider-Man, it'll be very bright and lovely," he said, with Zendaya adding, "It'll be great no matter what. We'll be sure of it."

Neither Marvel Studios nor Sony has officially announced Spider-Man 5. The latest film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has reportedly achieved significant box office success, grossing an estimated $927 million worldwide during its opening weekend. The film received a 7/10 review from IGN. The next major MCU release is slated to be Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for December 18, 2026.
