Wendy’s has launched WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones, a 15-hour RPG built around the fast-food chain's branding. The free-to-play game, available on Steam, Android, and iOS, offers players a chance to win real food rewards by defeating in-game bosses.

Upon defeating each of the game's five Mech Bosses, players receive a 'Corner Stone' code. These codes can be entered into the Wendy's app under the 'Offers' tab for a chance to win one of several food rewards, including a free medium fry, small Frosty, 10-piece nuggets, biscuit or croissant, or a Dave's Single, all with a separate qualifying purchase. Repeat encounters with bosses do not yield additional codes.

Reward eligibility is restricted to U.S. residents aged 18 and older. Redeemed codes must be used within seven days of their in-app redemption for an order. The promotion is available while supplies last, suggesting it may be time-limited. Wendy’s has been pursuing marketing stunts as it navigates a reported decline in U.S. systemwide and same-restaurant sales.

WendyQuest, developed in collaboration with 81monkeys, was designed in the 2D style of classic JRPGs like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. The game proudly proclaims itself as "100% fresh and 100% human made." Players control Wendy, recruiting allies to combat the Mech Corp, led by Dr. MechBorg, an antagonist seemingly inspired by a rival fast-food chain. In-game abilities and items are themed around Wendy's menu, featuring damage types such as "Crispy," "Frosty," and "Fresh Beef."
