Blizzard may have inadvertently revealed upcoming class and race combinations for World of Warcraft: Forever in a launch overview video. The footage, intended to prepare players for the game's release, displayed several combinations not currently possible within the game, such as a Tauren Mage, a Skyborne Paladin, and a Night Elf Shaman.
These potential additions could significantly expand player options, particularly for Paladin and Shaman enthusiasts. Currently, Alliance players can only select Dwarves for Shamans, while Horde players are limited to Undead for Paladins. The inclusion of Skyborne as a potential Paladin option offers a new choice for Horde players, though it might raise concerns as the Skyborne race is currently a paid unlock.
While it is possible these combinations were included in error, Blizzard has previously indicated that new race and class combinations are planned for release shortly after launch. Associate production director Clay Stone mentioned in an interview that some features initially planned for day one were being held back and would arrive "not that far after launch."
World of Warcraft: Forever is launching today for PC. The game has undergone significant changes prior to release, including a general damage boost for all classes and updates to racial abilities.
