As World of Warcraft: Forever approaches its imminent launch, Blizzard appears to be teasing the MMORPG's first new legendary weapon. A livestream on the Warcraft Twitch channel showcased the creation of what resembles a full-scale, night-elf-themed staff.

The stream, titled Camelot_revealv2_final.mp4, references the game's development codename. Twitch itself promoted the event as a "major reveal and a particularly exciting moment you don't want to miss." Participants in the stream were observed using 3D printers and other tools to craft a life-size replica of a staff that has been featured in recent Forever promotional materials, including the Warpath animated music video and artwork on Battle.net, often wielded by a skyborne Druid.

Further fueling speculation, a recent episode of the WoW: Forever podcast featured a board with a night elf phrase that fans have translated to roughly "The Hidden Blade is the guiding light." Given the phrase's language and the staff's night-elf theme, players suspect a connection.

Details regarding how players will acquire this new weapon and which classes will be able to wield it remain unknown. While it is likely to be a Druid weapon, other staff-wielding classes might also gain access. WoW: Forever is scheduled to launch on PC, with potential for other platforms in the future due to its controller support. The game's raids, Hyjal Summit and the Barrow Downs, are set to unlock on December 9 and have strong night-elf lore connections, suggesting the staff might be tied to these instances. However, based on the complexity of previous legendary weapon questlines in WoW Classic, the process is expected to be involved.

In related news, Blizzard may have also teased potential new class and race combinations for the MMORPG.
