Dataminers have unearthed a trove of information regarding set bonuses in the upcoming World of Warcraft: Forever, revealing that even low-level gear will feature unique and impactful effects. These findings, sourced from the game's ongoing beta and reported by WoWHead, suggest a design philosophy that extends meaningful gear progression beyond endgame content.
One notable discovery is the Postmaster set, a level 56 kit that grants players the 'Return to Sender' bonus. Upon falling below 25% health, this bonus automatically reflects spells cast by enemies. Similarly, the Necropile's Raiment offers a chance to drain health from spellcasting enemies, while the Bloodmail's Regalia can inflict a bleeding effect on attackers.
Even lower-tier armor sets are slated to receive interesting bonuses. The Defias Leather set, for instance, will have a four-piece bonus that provides a 5% chance on melee attacks to cause a target to bleed. The Embrace of the Viper five-set bonus appears particularly potent, offering a chance to stun targets for one second.
Beyond these early-game examples, dataminers have also found details on max-level dungeon and raid sets. The Warlock's Dread/Deathmist raiments, for example, include a 60-second cooldown ability that has a chance to fear attackers. Raid sets, expected to drop from new raid content in WoW Forever, are also noted to have unique set bonuses. The Grovekeeper's Rage set, designed for feral tanking, will allow players to cast Rebirth while in bear form. Additionally, many of these higher-end sets offer damage bonuses against specific enemy types, such as a rogue set that increases attack power against humanoids or the Demonheart Raiment for warlocks, which boosts spellpower against demons.
While the current datamined bonuses are considered works in progress and may be subject to change before the game's full launch in November, their presence suggests a commitment to enhancing the player experience through diverse and engaging gear acquisition across all levels of play.
