An indie development team has announced Xiri: Oasis Cities, a new survival-focused city-builder set in a high-tech future. The game tasks players with establishing and managing a desert oasis that will be threatened by various challenges, including natural disasters, cyber warfare, and complex political relationships with neighboring settlements.
Players will need to manage a diverse population composed of humans, androids, and drones as their city grows. The game's setting emphasizes a ruthless megacorporation-driven future, where industrial espionage and corporate conflict are integral to gameplay. This includes launching cyberattacks against rival infrastructure, maintaining population loyalty, negotiating loans, identifying spies, and manipulating economic conditions.
