There are seven distinct endings to discover in The Blood of Dawnwalker, each influenced by the player's choices throughout the game. These conclusions range from assaults on Griefberg Castle, deals with the enigmatic Brencis, to secret outcomes achievable before the main narrative's traditional conclusion. A post-credit cutscene plays regardless of the ending, and the fate of the character Lunka remains consistent across all paths. Players will also need to ensure they have 800 Denarius on hand, as an epilogue sequence involving a church donation and a dowry for Yanna may be triggered.

Assaulting Griefberg Castle

Four of the game's endings stem from an assault on Griefberg Castle, with variations dependent on key in-game decisions. The presence of allies like Ambrus or Bakir will result in boss encounters during the assault; Bakir's presence also means fighting other prisoners. If Xanthe has been dealt with prior to the assault, her boss fight is bypassed, but her trap sequence, involving further combat and puzzles, must still be navigated. The game's 30-day timer also plays a role; if it has expired, the player's family is deceased, impacting the epilogue, though gameplay continues without a time limit.

A Lone Wolf's Hunt

This ending sees Coen confronting Brencis alone. To unlock it, players must either use the Shadow Step ability to scale the castle walls at night or secure Father Florin's support to gain entry via a side door during the day. Should Brencis be present during the castle assault, players can either fight him or make a deal, which requires betraying either Crake and the Manumits, or Lacra. If the latter is chosen, the Manumit hideout must be located and marked. If Brencis is defeated rather than negotiated with, players can choose to either invite him into Anachora or leave him to be consumed by its fires. The epilogue for this ending depicts Vale Sangora becoming independent with a degree of lawlessness, though the Manumits offer protection. The plague returns without the Vrakhiri, but Christianity is re-established, with Father Florin potentially becoming a saint.

Rise At Dawn, Fall Before Dusk

This path involves aiding Crake and the Manumits in restoring Catalin Dragosti to power. The conditions for this ending include completing quests like 'The Firebrand,' 'Shadows in the Woods,' and 'Where Loyalty Lies,' culminating in the 'Who Pulls the Strings' quest. The player assists in letting Catalin Dragosti's army into the valley by attacking Eastridge Outpost. Dragosti's brutality is evident as he executes prisoners, though some can be saved. The assault on Griefberg Castle proceeds through tunnels, with Brencis aware of the player's approach. Vlad's recklessness can lead to Manumit casualties if he was saved earlier. In the throne room, Brencis attempts to assassinate Catalin. If Crake intervenes, he dies defending Dragosti; if Catalin is saved, both survive. The player then confronts Brencis, with no option for a deal, and defeats him before the epilogue plays. This ending is characterized by Dragosti's campaign of retribution, widespread destruction, and a genocide of the Uriashi orchestrated by Crake under Dragosti's orders. The plague returns, and while it is possible to speak with Crake in Laslea, it's considered one of the darker conclusions.

Midnight Reckoning

This ending involves an alliance with Lacra to thwart Brencis's plan. Players must meet Lacra during 'A Friend Like This' and follow her questline. The duo enters Griefberg Castle through ancient ruins to destroy Brencis's ritual, leading to widespread chaos within the castle. The player's family is found ensnared by roots, still alive. Brencis confronts Coen and Lacra. Betraying Lacra to save the family results in her defeat by Brencis, mirroring the outcome of 'A Deal With The Devil.' Fighting alongside Lacra allows for the family's potential rescue. Brencis is ultimately defeated, and the player decides his fate. Vale Sangora gains temporary independence, but the castle becomes a cursed ruin. Lacra's mistrust is highlighted, as she did not fully disclose the ritual's consequences. Her presence in the epilogue is dependent on completing her questline and Brencis not being in power.

Making a Deal with Brencis

A Deal With The Devil

This ending requires reaching maximum infamy by killing Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe. Coen meets Brencis at Shrike's Crag, where Brencis offers to return Coen's family and villagers, exempting Laslea from a blood tax, in exchange for marking the Manumit hideout. An alternative is to kill Brencis, which triggers a fight against him and summoned ghosts. Upon agreeing to the deal, the player marks the Manumit hideout, leading to Brencis slaughtering the Manumits and abducting Crake. The epilogue shows Brencis ruling with an iron fist, though his regime eventually falls. The plague does not return, the Uriashi remain, and Christianity is practiced in Laslea.

Secret Endings

Leaving Vale Sangora

This is considered one of the most favorable endings. It can be achieved anytime after the prologue by reaching Corruption Level 11 and unlocking the second level of the Shadow Dweller skill in the vampirism tree. Using the enhanced Shadow Step, players can cross a gap in the Cursed Chasm and find a road leading out of Vale Sangora. The choice to leave the valley forever or stay is presented, with no epilogue other than the post-credit scene, signifying a complete disavowal of Vale Sangora's conflicts.

Killing Brencis in the Prologue

If Brencis is defeated during his initial encounter at the end of the prologue, the game concludes prematurely. This is an exceptionally difficult achievement, and the resulting ending offers minimal differences from 'A Lone Wolf's Hunt.' The epilogue is notably brief due to the limited in-game progression.

The Blood of Dawnwalker's Epilogue

The epilogue in Laslea features variations based on the chosen ending, influencing which characters appear and the state of the town. Notices on the town square tree detail who rules Vale Sangora, the return of Christianity, and the fate of the Murohn. The epilogue proceeds with tableaus examining the outcomes of various quests and choices. Your family's presence depends on prologue decisions and survival. Svartrau's status varies from independent and lawless to sacked, and the Uriashi's fate differs. Anca's presence in Laslea depends on her use of 'The Font.' Crake and the Manumits' fate ranges from defending Vale Sangora to being killed by Brencis or Catalin. Lacra may continue her travels or be killed by Brencis. Father Florin can be canonized or burned alive. The St. Tyna's Convent's curse may be lifted or remain. The 'A Study in Crimson' tableau reflects the correct identification of the Svartrau murderer. The 'Hive and Seek' outcome depends on the player's actions regarding the Kobold hive. Finally, if Xanthe was spared, a tableau details her continued murders to preserve Chariklea.
