Aniimo, known for its creature-catching mechanics, also offers players a unique homesteading experience through its Homeland feature. This system allows for a customizable mobile RV that can be decorated, upgraded, and utilized for various in-game productions, essentially serving as a cozy side hustle within the game. As you progress and level up your RV, you will unlock farm plots and production facilities, enabling your Aniimos to live and work alongside you.
Unlocking the Homeland
The journey to unlocking the Homeland feature begins with the "Prologue: Wondrous RV" questline, initiated by an NPC named Fannie. Fannie and her RV do not appear on the map until a certain point in the main story. Players must advance through the main quests until they reach the Sea of Flowers area. Continuing the main questline in this region, players will eventually encounter an NPC named Wally. After completing the quest with Wally and reporting back to Dr. Lewis, you should have finished your Student Level II training.
This progression unlocks a new set of quests in the Elite Trainer tab of your menu. The specific quest to track is "Own Your Homeland." Following this quest will lead you to a blue house icon on your map where Fannie awaits. She will provide details about your new RV home. Upon speaking with her, you will receive an RV, which you will then need to register at an RV park. This action triggers an in-depth tutorial on managing and upgrading your RV and its associated homeland plot.
Homeland Production and Aniimo Roles
The Homeland feature functions as a dedicated farming and production center. Initially, your operations will be small-scale, focusing on wheat farm plots and basic resource gathering like chopping wood. As you upgrade, you gain access to materials and equipment for your Aniimos to produce items such as cloth and baked goods, which can then be sold for in-game rewards.
To ensure efficient production, it is crucial to manage your Aniimos effectively. Always provide food for your Aniimos by adding it to the food bowl in the Homeland's Aniimo management tab; while they will continue working without food, their speed and morale will decrease. Furthermore, ensure you have an adequate number of Aniimos and the correct combination of elemental types assigned to each task. Each Aniimo element type serves specific purposes in Homeland production:
- Fire: Used for cooking, smelting, and providing heat.
- Grass: Essential for planting seeds and gathering resources.
- Water: Required for brewing, fetching water, and watering plants.
- Earth: Utilized for reclaiming land and mining resources.
- Lightning: Powers the manipulation of electricity.
- Ice: Contributes to cooling the Homeland environment.
- Wind: Controls wind for processing products.
- Dark: Involved in harvesting crops, cutting down plants, pickling, and drying items.
- Light: Illuminates the Homeland.
Some Aniimos possess additional special abilities that can further enhance your Homeland operations:
- Hauling ability: Allows Aniimos to transport stockpiled produce to home storage.
- Artisanship: Enables Aniimos to create various handcrafted goods.
- Leisure: Playful Aniimos can produce items while engaging in leisure activities.
- Perfumery: Aniimo specializing in perfumery are efficient at the perfume station.
RV Leveling and Rewards
Even when focusing on other game activities, it is important to regularly check in on your Homeland and Aniimos. Ensure they have the necessary seeds and resources to perform their tasks, sell produced goods, and fulfill any available orders. Consistently upgrading your RV and Homeland plot yields decent rewards and unlocks further quests. Players can also find guides on locating "shiny" Aniimo, unlocking a free Prismana Aniimo, and earning all available free in-game rewards.
