The path through Beast of Reincarnation is fraught with peril, featuring numerous Nushi bosses and Elite variants of regular enemies that stand as significant challenges. Emma's primary objective involves hunting down these powerful Malefact bosses, known as Nushi, which are responsible for spreading Blight across various regions. Ultimately, her quest culminates in confronting the titular Beast of Reincarnation in the Capital.
Beyond the main Nushi bosses, players will also encounter Elite versions of common Malefacts and Golems, presenting a much steeper difficulty curve than their standard counterparts. Many of these formidable foes are strategically placed off the beaten path, making their discovery and the completion of each map a considerable task. This guide details the precise locations of all bosses and Elite enemies across the initial chapters of the game.
Chapter 1: Ogouchi Buffer Zone
The Ogouchi Buffer Zone contains three major boss encounters and eight Elites. Players will need to hunt down these enemies to progress and fully explore the area.
Notable enemies in this chapter include the Level 8 Heavy Golem Elite found in Cliffside Village, and the Level 10 Grizzly Malefact Elite guarding the Yellow Key in a cave. The main quest requires defeating the Level 9 Rangifer Nushi beneath the Cliff-Facing Tower Campsite, followed by the Level 16 Nue Malefact in Emma's flashback. Another main quest boss, the Level 12 Rangifer Nushi, is located beyond a locked gate in Subcity 03.
Chapter 2: Ancient Civilization Zone
This zone features one main boss, the Lacerta Nushi, which must be fought twice. All other significant threats are Elite enemies.
Key encounters include the Level 15 Lupine Malefact Elite atop a cliff near the giant gate and a Level 13 Heavy Golem Elite shortly after unlocking a gate and descending via elevator. The main story boss, the Level 13 Lacerta Nushi, is found within an arena in the Reservoir. After this encounter, players can find a Level 12 Agile Golem Elite fighting another character, Mikoto. The chapter concludes with a second fight against the Level 16 Lacerta Nushi in an arena accessible through the Nushi's Lair Entrance Campsite.
Chapter 3: Great Wall Terraces
Chapter 3 is distinguished by multiple encounters with the Nue Malefact, which appears four times. Seven Elite enemies also populate this region.
Players will first face the Level 16 Nue Malefact in an arena accessible via the Mountain Plaza: Forefront Campsite. Two Level 12 Agile Golems serve as Elites on a bridge east of the Mountain Village. The Maze Of Sin, in the bottom-right corner of the map, is guarded by a Level 15 Headless Golem Elite. The second Nue Malefact encounter occurs along the path northeast of the Great Forest Clearing: Approach Campsite.
Further exploration reveals a Level 17 Keymaster Golem Elite midway between the river and the Great Forest Clearing arena. A Level 19 Lupine Malefact Elite patrols the Ruined Road Square, west of the Flower Square Campsite. Another Headless Golem Elite, this one at Level 18, is situated atop a high platform in the northwest corner of the Ruined Road Square. A third Lupine Malefact Elite, Level 18, can be found in a clearing northwest of the Flower Square: Forefront Campsite. The final Elite in this chapter is a Level 16 Headless Golem, found in the last room after accessing Subcity Of Flowers via a hatch in a village north of the Flower Square.
The penultimate Nue Malefact fight takes place at the Titan Buddha, south of a massive gate in the northern part of the map. The ultimate confrontation of Chapter 3 pits players against the Level 20 Nue Malefact and a Male Purifier in the final arena beyond the large gate. This dual boss encounter only becomes available after defeating the Nue Malefact in its previous appearances.
