Upon reaching the chamber containing The Font, you are presented with three distinct options: allowing Anca to use it, claiming the blood for yourself, or destroying The Font entirely. Each decision leads to different outcomes for both the player character and Anca.
Claiming The Font for Yourself
If you choose to use The Font's blood, you will be rewarded with the Font of Life passive ability. This perk provides health regeneration during the day, which can be particularly useful given that certain Witchcraft abilities consume health. While other healing methods are available, this passive offers a consistent benefit. Anca will accept this decision, believing she can find other means to break her curse. This choice does not immediately affect your romantic relationship with her, which progresses shortly after the quest. However, it will have long-term repercussions for Anca's fate.
Allowing Anca to Use The Font
Opting to let Anca use The Font results in her being cleansed of her curse, visibly demonstrated by the disappearance of the red sigils on her arm. This is presented as the most beneficial outcome for Anca's personal journey. Her newfound happiness is reflected in subsequent romance scenes, where additional dialogue options become available, and it ultimately leads to the best possible conclusion for her character. The player character receives no direct reward for this choice, but the positive impact on Anca's storyline is significant.
Destroying The Font
The third option involves destroying The Font. After toppling the altar, players discover a pair of legendary trousers, the Ancient Greaves, beneath it. However, the value of this loot is questioned, especially considering the abundance of other legendary armor sets available in the game. This decision is deemed the least favorable, as it sacrifices both Anca's well-being and the player's potential passive perk for mediocre gear. While this choice does not prevent the romance sequence with Anca, subsequent scenes will unfold similarly to those where the player claims The Font for themselves.
