In Crimson Desert, players can acquire a unique Baby Wyvern pet by finding and hatching a Wyvern Egg. This process requires reaching a specific point in the game and utilizing a unique ability.
Locating the Wyvern Egg
The Wyvern Egg can be found in the Wyvern Nest located at Wyvern's Cradle, which is situated northeast of Three Brothers' Cliff in the southwestern region of Dewhaven. A map is available to guide players to this precise location.
To access the egg, players must possess the Focused Force Palm ability, which becomes available in Chapter 4 of the game. Once players reach this chapter and navigate to the designated area, they will find a small overhang and stone steps. Following the path will lead to a blocked opening on the left, where Focused Force Palm can be used to clear the way. Beyond this blockage, the Wyvern Egg is located to the right.
Hatching the Baby Wyvern
After collecting the egg, players need to find a Wyvern Nest formation outside the cave where the egg was found. The egg must be placed in the center of this nest, specifically within a small bundle of sticks. Once the egg begins to glow, players can interact with it again to hatch the Baby Wyvern pet.
Befriending Pets
Beyond the Wyvern, Crimson Desert allows players to tame various stray or wild animals to become companions. These pets offer utility by automatically collecting dropped loot from enemies and chests, as well as other items like ore. To befriend an animal, players must interact with them repeatedly to pet them, gradually increasing their trust level.
There are daily limits to this interaction, with players able to pet a specific animal only five times per real-world day. Feeding animals raw food can accelerate the trust-building process. A notification on the left side of the screen will confirm when a trust increase has been achieved.
One of the earliest locations to find animals suitable for befriending is around Hernand. Players can find stray animals in the streets and begin the process of interaction and taming. Persistence is key, and with consistent effort, players can acquire a furry companion.
While the Wyvern Egg offers a specific, unique pet, the general pet acquisition system allows for a variety of animal companions to aid players on their journey.
