Fields of Mistria 1.0 offers players a robust farming simulation that rewards careful planning and seasonal awareness. To succeed in cultivating crops, players must pay close attention to planting times, seasonal restrictions, and the regrowth periods of various plants. The game introduces four primary plant types: vegetables, flowers, tree fruits, and foragables.

Planting and Cultivation

To begin planting, players must first clear a patch of land and use a hoe to till a square. Seeds can then be planted and watered. Consistent watering each day will result in a new stage of growth, culminating in harvest. Rainy days negate the need for manual watering. Crops are subject to seasonal limitations; any crop planted outside its designated growing season will wither and die at the season's change. Each season lasts 28 days, making strategic planting crucial, especially for regrowable crops or those with significant seed costs. Unplanted seeds can be stored indefinitely without spoiling.

Some seeds may not be immediately available from the general store and might require completing a quest or upgrading the town. A single asterisk (*) next to a crop indicates it becomes available after a quest, while a double asterisk (**) signifies that seeds are acquired through upgrading the Bountiful or Prepared Picker Skill, or via the Seed Maker. These skills can reward seeds when watering wild plants or allow for seed creation from harvested crops.

Spring is an ideal season for new players to engage with farming, offering abundant foragable items as a backup. Many spring flowers also serve as valuable gifts to increase a player's popularity.
