The most efficient location for smashing bamboo is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. This distinct off-road area is situated in the Minamino and Ito regions on the eastern side of the game's map. The forest's Minamino entrance is near the coast, while the Ito entrance lies northwest of a barn find location containing the Nissan #11 Tomica Skylike Turbo Super Silhouette.
To minimize travel time, players are advised to fast travel to the closest discovered road to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Once at the location, drive off-road and begin smashing through the bamboo. The game will provide an on-screen notification when the 30 bamboo have been destroyed, signaling the completion of the "Bamboo Bash" challenge.
