Flockingweed, a regional specialty material native to Snezhnaya, was introduced in Genshin Impact version 7.0. It serves as a crucial Ascension material for the 4-Star Electro character Alyosha, and may be required for leveling other characters in the future. Due to its limited respawn time of two days, efficient farming routes are essential for players looking to accumulate the necessary quantity.
When searching for Flockingweed, players will find it grows in dense clusters, meaning a single discovery can yield three or four units. Utilizing characters like Alyosha, whose unique ability highlights nearby unique materials on the mini-map, can further streamline the collection process.
Fellfrost Peak (West)
The western region of Fellfrost Peak contains the largest concentration of Flockingweed, with 51 nodes scattered throughout the area. While this location offers the most abundant yield, it also requires a significant amount of travel to collect all available materials.
For a more time-efficient approach, players can focus on gathering Flockingweed near the Statue of Seven and along the northern road adjacent to the central Teleport Waypoint. This less intensive route still provides a substantial collection for regular two-day farming cycles.
House of Hesperides
Located on the eastern side of Fellfrost Peak, the House of Hesperides area offers nine Flockingweed nodes. These are primarily found along the western path leading to the courtyard.
Tidesong Cavern
North of Central Station lies Tidesong Cavern, where 14 Flockingweed nodes can be collected. Nine of these are located outside, near the tip of the landmass, while the remaining five are found within the cavern itself.
Accessing Tidesong Cavern requires unlocking the Tidesong Cavern Meeting Point and subsequently triggering a quest located southwest of its symbol. The Meeting Point itself is unlocked by completing Act 1 of Snezhnaya's 'Everwinter Without Mercy' Archon Quest.
Flockingweed Chest
An additional nine Flockingweed can be obtained from a one-time chest located on the western coast of Fellfrost Peak. To unlock this chest, players must first defeat the enemies guarding it.
Usage
Flockingweed, characterized by its green and yellow appearance, grows mostly above ground but can occasionally be found underground. Currently, only Alyosha requires this material, needing 168 units for full Ascension. With a total of 74 Flockingweed available in Snezhnaya, players will need a minimum of three farming days to gather enough.
