Bubbly Basin, the first new town introduced in the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, is now accessible. This paid DLC expansion focuses on an ocean theme, and Bubbly Basin is a predominantly underwater area. To begin exploring this new locale, players must first meet specific in-game requirements before locating the entrance.
To gain access to Bubbly Basin, players need to have progressed to a certain point in the main game. Once these conditions are met, the next step is to travel to Bleak Beach. At the Bleak Beach Pokémon Center, players will encounter Popplio. Interacting with Popplio and engaging in a brief conversation will trigger an update to the player's Pokédex, after which Popplio will extend an invitation to visit their town.
With the invitation secured, players must then locate the Area Gate that leads to Bubbly Basin. The entrance is situated underwater, requiring the use of the Dive move. The most straightforward way to find it is by entering the water in the northeastern section of Bleak Beach, near the Pokémon Center and the area where Meowth's home was established.
Upon entering the sea along this shoreline, players should look for an area marked by lampposts, pathways, and a barrel. This distinctive spot is close to the Area Gate.
From this area, players should proceed down into a small cave to find the entrance to the Area Gate. Scanning the player's Pokédex at this point will unlock the passage to Bubbly Basin, allowing entry into the underwater town.
