To achieve the 'Big Makeover' achievement in the game Big Walk, players must find and use metallic paint colors to "get shiny." While the initial tutorial area does not offer these colors, a hidden section accessible through a newly unlocked tunnel contains the necessary options.
Unlocking the Metallic Colors
The path to metallic paints begins with completing the yellow tower located in the northern part of the map. This tower can be reached directly by trekking up the mountain, or players can first complete the green tower, which activates a ski lift that provides access to the yellow tower. To complete either tower, players must gather five red gourd-like items from puzzles scattered across the map and deliver them to the tower. Upon completion, a key is awarded, which is then used at a series of yellow keyholes. Each keyhole progressively shaves down the key, ultimately granting access to the yellow tunnel.
Navigating the Yellow Tunnel
Once the yellow tunnel is unlocked, players must locate a specific room within it to find the metallic paints. From the tunnel entrance, proceed inside and immediately turn right. It is recommended to have a flashlight or utilize the one found at the entrance, as visibility within the tunnel is otherwise limited. Continue along the rightward path until you reach an area resembling a nightclub. At the back of this club, opposite the DJ setup, a pathway with a doorway on the left leads further into the tunnel.
Follow this path into a red hall that transitions to green. Continue through the tunnel until you reach a fork in the road, and take the red path to the right. The tunnel will turn green again, and while there's an opening on the left, it's advised to bypass it for now, as it leads to a lower area with a side satchel that is difficult to return from. Instead, proceed straight ahead into a purple room filled with red archways and downward ramps.
Navigate down these ramps. You will eventually encounter what appears to be a dead end with a circular indentation in the wall. Approaching this circle will reveal a hidden descent, leading to a chamber containing a painting structure with metallic colors.
Achieving 'Big Makeover'
In this chamber, the three colored blocks at the bottom are metallic paints. Players can then paint their characters, which should immediately unlock the 'Big Makeover' achievement. It is recommended to take turns painting each other to ensure all players in a session can acquire the achievement.
