The 'Forge It Anew' quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker tasks players with reassembling St. Mihai's Silver Sword, a potent weapon against vampires. To complete this quest and acquire the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai, you will need to locate three scattered sword shards and find a blacksmith capable of reforging the weapon.
Finding the Sword Shards
The quest begins after defeating St. Mihai and reading a note in his coffin, which officially starts the 'Forge It Anew' quest. St. Mihai himself reveals his sword has been shattered and that an Uriashi blacksmith can mend it. His journal, found in his cell, provides initial clues. The three shards are located within Kobold nests scattered across Vale Sangora, and examining maps found at each location will reveal the others.
The first shard is found in the northeast corner of the Maragir Wealds, across the river from the Upper Maragir Wealds shrine. Following a trail into a Kobold den will lead you to the shard resting on a broken cross. Inside this den, a cave painting serves as a map for the remaining shard locations.
The second shard is located in the north of the Rockfalls region, east of the Westridge Outpost shrine. A Kobold nest, marked with a white 'X' above its entrance, houses a corrupted Kobold named Munch-Munch. Defeating this boss rewards you with the second shard and another map pointing to the final shard's location.
The final shard is in south St. Tyna's Grove, southeast of the Crossroads Inn shrine. The Kobold nest here initiates the 'Forge It Anew: Executive Order' quest. The shard has been taken to one of Xanthe's camps in The Silts to the west. After defeating the enemies at the camp, the shard can be found in a small chest within the main tent.
Reforging the Sword
Once all three shards are collected, the next step is to find the Uriashi blacksmith. While it is unclear if you need to have met them previously, they can be found at the Uriashi Hermitage shrine in northwest Briar Sloughs. Speak to the lone Uriashi near a large standing stone, and they will agree to reforge the sword.
The final stage involves heading into an ancient ruin up the hill from the blacksmith. After defeating the enemies within, you must quench St. Mihai's Sword in a glowing red orb of magic. This process imbues the sword, resulting in the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai. This weapon features a powerful weapon art that changes based on the time of day, with the daytime version offering an area-of-effect attack.
