Marriage in Fields of Mistria, a central feature for many players, requires the successful crafting of an engagement ring. This process demands reaching the final levels of the mines and utilizing advanced crafting stations.
To begin crafting an engagement ring, players must first reach level 100 in the mines. This unlocks the ability to learn recipes for the Dragon Forge, which is located on level 90 of the mines. After crafting a Dragon-Forged Core at this station, an engagement ring can be assembled at a standard blacksmithing station.
The full recipe for an engagement ring is as follows: 2 Diamonds, 4 Mistril ingots, 4 Gold ingots, and 1 Dragon-Forged Core. The Dragon-Forged Core itself requires 5 Monster cores, 1 Mistril ingot, 1 Pink diamond, 1 Ancient firefly, and 1 Medium essence stone. The player needs to reach mine level 100 to unlock the recipe for the Dragon-Forged Core.
While direct purchase of an engagement ring is not an option, certain materials can be acquired through in-game currency, tesserae, to alleviate some of the grinding. Gold ore and mistril ore can be bought from the blacksmith in quantities of 40 gold ore for 8,000 tesserae and 50 mistril ore for 20,000 tesserae, respectively. These can then be crafted into ingots at the blacksmithing station. A Large Bundle of Stone, containing 100 stone, can be purchased from the carpenter shop for 2,000 tesserae; 90 stone is required for crafting. Players can also craft 2 diamonds using 70 stone at the stone refinery, located at the mine entrance, and craft 1 medium essence stone using 20 stone at the same refinery.
However, several key components must still be gathered through gameplay. Five Monster cores are dropped by lantern enemies found in mine levels 1-39, or by flame spirits in mine levels 61-99. Pink diamonds can be mined from pink diamond nodes in mine levels 81 and above, or obtained as a reward from a gem cutting date with a partner on Saturdays or Sundays. An Ancient firefly must be caught with a net in the Ancient Ruins, located at mine level 81.
