Cryogenic Coolant is a key material in Palworld 1.0, essential for crafting a variety of powerful weapons, protective armor, and base upgrades. To produce it, players will need to build a Production Assembly Line, collect Aquatic Pal Fluids and Ice Organs, and unlock the recipe through the Technology Tree.
Building the Production Assembly Line
Before crafting Cryogenic Coolant, players must first construct a Production Assembly Line. This item can be unlocked in the Technology Tree at Tier 29 for three technology points. The materials required to build it are 100 Ingot, 5 Wooden Board, and 20 Nail, and 10 Cement. Once built, the Production Assembly Line needs to be powered. This can be achieved using a Power Generator or a Large Power Generator. The basic Power Generator is unlocked at Tier 26 in the Technology Tree, costing three points, and requires specific materials to construct. To operate the generator, a Pal with the Generating Electricity Work Suitability must be assigned to it.
Unlocking the Cryogenic Coolant Recipe
The crafting recipe for Cryogenic Coolant itself is unlocked at Tier 31 in the Technology Tree. Once this prerequisite is met, players can then focus on gathering the necessary components.
Gathering Aquatic Pal Fluid
One of the primary ingredients for Cryogenic Coolant is Aquatic Pal Fluid. This can be obtained through several methods: purchasing from Wandering Merchants, assigning Kelpsea Pals to a Ranch, or by defeating certain Pals in the wild. Recommended Pals that drop Aquatic Pal Fluid include Fuack, Teafant, Celaray, and Pengullet. Alternatively, players can breed these Pals and utilize a Pal Disassembly Conveyor.
Collecting Ice Organs
The second crucial ingredient is Ice Organs. These can also be purchased from Wandering Merchants, collected by assigning Foxcicle Pals to a Ranch, or dropped by specific Pals. Low-level Pals that are commonly found and drop Ice Organs include Pengullet, Jolthog Cryst, Polapup, and Whalaska. Similar to Aquatic Pal Fluid, breeding these Pals and using a Pal Disassembly Conveyor is another viable method for acquisition.
Crafting Cryogenic Coolant
With the Production Assembly Line built, powered, and the recipe unlocked, players can now craft Cryogenic Coolant. Each unit requires one Aquatic Pal Fluid and one Ice Organ. This material is vital for creating items such as the Plasma Multicutter, various combat weapons like the Combat SMG and Overheat Rifle, and armor sets that offer cold resistance, including Cold Resistant Refined Metal Armor and Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor. It is also used in crafting specialized equipment like the Powerful Fishing Magnet and Pal saddles, as well as various base infrastructure improvements such as Electric Furnaces and Refrigerator units.
