Unlocking the 'Big Makeover' achievement or trophy in Big Walk requires finding a secondary, secret paint studio that offers a selection of special bronze, silver, and gold colors. While not necessary for completing the main game, this optional objective allows players to further customize their characters and complete their achievement list. The secret studio becomes accessible only after a specific in-game milestone is met.
To access the secret paint studio, players must first complete the yellow tower. This involves collecting five MacGuffins, the red collectibles scattered throughout the island, and delivering them to the top of the yellow tower. Successfully doing so unlocks and shapes a key that opens tunnels beneath the island, which are essential for reaching the secret location. Once the tunnels are accessible, players can begin their journey to the studio.
Begin at the game's starting hub, referred to as 'the gym.' From there, proceed through the gap to the right of the map room. If this shortcut door has not been opened, it is located downhill from the red tower, adjacent to the gym. Follow the path with an unclimbable rock wall on your left. After a short walk, you will encounter a red tunnel entrance on your left. Enter this tunnel, and a flashlight will be available if needed.
Inside the red tunnel, follow the path to a long, narrow staircase on the right. Ascend these stairs to a corridor with signage indicating directions to the yellow or green tower. While both paths can lead to the desired area, the route toward the green tower is recommended. Continue straight until you reach and enter a green door.
Upon entering the green door, you will find yourself at another junction. Opt to go left into the blue corridor, which appears as a large ramp. Proceed through a doorway into a narrow hall and turn left. The blue hallway will transition through green and then red.
Ahead, you will notice a small gray door. This door leads to a separate secret area that is recommended for exploration, though it is not directly on the path to the paint studio. After exploring this area or bypassing it, return to the red, spiraling hallway and take a left.
The corridor will change color to green. Continue straight through this green hallway until you come across a small red door. This door is distinctive due to a circular paint pattern featuring red, blue, and green colors, unlike any other door found within the tunnels. Entering this door will lead you to a stairwell with purple walls.
Descend to the very bottom of this stairwell. Here, you will find the secret paint studio, which offers three exclusive colors: bronze, silver, and gold. To use these new colors, players will need a partner, as the paint tools cannot be used on oneself. Once a character has been painted with one of the three shiny colors, the 'Big Makeover' achievement or trophy will be unlocked.
