The quest "A Bulwark Against Darkness" in Blood of Dawnwalker tasks players with finding components for the legendary Arbiter armor set. This quest is initiated by a smuggler who delivers a message about the armor's potential against Brencis, but requires the player to locate all necessary parts themselves.
Locating the Arbiter Armor Components
The quest provides a list of four components that must be gathered. The first is the Relic of a Saint, specifically the Saint's Tibia. This item can be found on a corpse located at the bottom of a ladder in the west side of St. Tyna's Convent during the "Anca's Echoes of Silenced Bells" quest. While other relics exist, the Saint's Tibia is recommended to avoid sacrificing valuable amulet gear.
The Bundle of Silk Threads can be acquired by progressing through the Sanzhani questline in Svartrau. After completing the "Good Home" quest on the west side of the Svartrau Outskirts, which introduces the Sanzhani people and starts the "Letters to Lunka" quest, players must continue assisting them. Completing the "Pearly and Precious" quest unlocks the Sanzhani trader, from whom the Silk Threads can be purchased for approximately 6,000 denari.
The Flask of Quiksilver is located in Aurelius's Tower in The Silts region. Players must ascend the tower, defeat Svetlana, The Dark Prodigy, and then confront Aurelius on the top floor, initiating the "Home Sweet Home" quest. After completing the quest, which concludes in the tower basement, players should return to Aurelius's study on the top floor to find the Flask of Quiksilver on a table to the left.
Finally, the Moult of a Large Lizard is found in a cave on the east side of the Briar Sloughs bog area. This location is east of the Muddy Trail shrine and south of the Vera the Witchcraft vendor. After navigating through the cave entrance and defeating four Tatselwurms, the Large Lizard's Moult can be collected from the rear of the cave.
Crafting the Arbiter Armor
Once all four components are gathered, players must visit the Uriash Hermit blacksmith. This NPC is located in the northwest of Briar Sloughs. It is presumed that reforging St. Mihai's Silver Sword is a prerequisite for obtaining the "A Bulwark Against Darkness" quest and thus meeting Uriash. If not, players can find her at the Uriashi Hermitage shrine in the northwest region.
Presenting each component to Uriash will result in a new piece of the Arbiter armor being forged. After all parts of the set are created, a final ritual involving combat against wolves and a bear boss is required. Upon completion of this ritual, the Arbiter armor set will be upgraded to legendary rarity.
