Lacra is one of the few vrakhir companions available for befriending in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and she stands out as the sole vrakhir among the game's three romance options. Successfully navigating her questline and dialogue choices is key to initiating a romantic relationship with her.

Meeting Lacra

You will first encounter Lacra during the quest "A Friend Like This" in Svartrau. This quest can be initiated in a few ways: by finding a note on Ambrus's corpse after defeating him, by following tracks near the northeast walls of Svartrau using Focus Mode, or by completing Vicho's "A Study in Crimson" quest at his emporium.

During your initial meeting, Lacra will be hostile. After a brief confrontation, she will cease hostilities. You will find her in the process of torturing an Uriashi soldier. While you can choose to free the Uriash peacefully yourself, do not ask Lacra to do so, as this will displease her.

Building a Connection

To romance Lacra, you must complete a series of quests alongside her. Throughout these quests, prioritize selecting dialogue options that are friendly or flirtatious. A general guideline is to always inquire about her when given the opportunity and to express empathy for her experiences as a vrakthir.

"A Friend Like This"

When first meeting Lacra, choose the dialogue option "I'm not with the guard" before engaging in combat. Afterward, select the following yellow dialogue prompts: "I'll be the one asking questions," "Why are you torturing the Uriash?" "I spotted signs of a struggle nearby," "I'm looking for help taking on Brencis," and "Gladly. But we will actually talk."

When speaking with the Uriash, choose these prompts: "What happened? Your side of the story," "I cannot let this go, because of my family," "You have my word," and "I promise."

As Lacra prepares to depart, say "You're not killing him" and "Let's not waste time."

"Song of the Mountain"

During discussions about hunting, say "It's probably smart," and consume the shepherd's blood, leaving some for Lacra. Subsequently, respond with "An excellent one."

Upon entering the Uriash village, opt for peaceful choices and refrain from taking any aggressive actions. The Uriash will eventually welcome you.

"Hive and Seek"

Tell Lacra it is "Time to go." After opening the cave entrance, state "Well, that solves it," and inquire about her past with Brencis.

Accept the assistance offered by the friendly kobold.

When confronting Isbrand, select these yellow dialogue prompts: "We have to get him out of here," and "What's on your mind?"

Following the combat, say "One step and you're just as dead," and proceed to eliminate the hive.

"Our Rotten Roots"

To commence this quest, return to Lacra after a full day, specifically at night. Choose any dialogue options and accompany Lacra to Anachora.

When prompted, tell Lacra, "I enjoyed it too."

In Anachora, take the left path near the church, diverging from Lacra's suggested rightward route. Select these dialogue prompts: "How would you know?" "Were you in this memory?" "Why don't you want me to see it?" Continue left and state, "I'd rather check it."

Upon reuniting with Lacra, express: "I'm sorry for going there," and "I had no idea it would be that awful."

At the conclusion of the quest, do not invite Isbrand into your company.

After returning from Anachora, discuss her exile and the ritual with Lacra before finalizing the quest.

"Midnight Reckoning"

Return to Lacra after a full day to initiate this quest. Speak with Lacra, inquiring about her personal life. Then, ask about her ideas, but avoid discussing Brencis at this stage, as this action unlocks "The Night of Horrors," which is necessary for romance.

"The Night of Horrors"

At the quest's outset, choose the following dialogue options: "So we pay with blood?" "I am intrigued." "Who are 'they'? The people you work for?" "No, I'm bound to take care of my family." "That's not preordained."

After following the sprites, select: "I used to have dreams and other plans." "I'll thank his corpse." "I would never abandon my siblings." "That they're right." "He tried his best." "Great. Let's go."

Later, choose: "You sure this pain is worth it?" Ask about Lacra's husband and marriage, responding with "I'm sorry you had to go through that." Then, say "You don't have to do this, I'll take over." Inquire again about Lacra's child and husband, asking if she still desired a family, and follow up with "I wonder if I could still have one." Conclude with "I'm sorry you went through all that."

Upon entering the cave, select: "I didn't take you for a quitter." "It's about my brother, Alin." "I was irresponsible." "It's hard."

After discovering the mandrake, explore all optional questions about it. Then, ask "What is a mandrake?" Consume the mandrake. State "I think it's all the burden sharing." Follow Lacra. Say "Like freedom." Then "I like it." Drink Lacra's blood. Finally, kiss Lacra.
