Players seeking to progress through A Plague Tale: Resonance may find themselves challenged by several intricate puzzles, particularly within Chapter 4's arena and Chapter 5's light-based chambers. This guide breaks down the solutions to these obstacles, ensuring a smoother journey for Sophia.

The Arena Puzzle in Chapter 4

To complete the first trial in Chapter 4, players must solve an arena puzzle involving a large statue. This requires finding and aligning three symbol pairs to move the statue and reveal a doorway. First, explore the arena platform to discover symbol pairs, which Sophia will record in her notebook. These pairs are visually linked by lines in the notebook. The symbols themselves can be found on the arena walls.

Players then need to use light reflectors to illuminate matching symbol pairs on the walls. The first two pairs involve matching symbols found directly on the walls. For instance, the bell and a 'T'-shaped symbol can be illuminated together. The second pair, an 'M'-shaped symbol and a triangle, requires locating the 'M'-shape on a wall panel to the right of where the bell symbol was found, between a sideways 'W' and a glass-like symbol.

Once the first two pairs are lit, the statue's hands will lower. The final pair involves the 'W'-shaped and 'H'-shaped symbols. These can be found on the wall to the right of the statue. Light these symbols using the reflectors to complete the trial and prepare for combat.

The Light Splitting Chamber in Chapter 5

Chapter 5 introduces the Light Splitting ability, crucial for navigating a puzzle chamber to obtain a symbol. The primary task is to use light to dispel petrified growths on the central platform, revealing two crank mechanisms. Interacting with one will cause Leni to assist.

After a platform rises, players move to the first puzzle. This involves directing light beams to colored points on a wall. The goal is to use Light Splitting on an orb, aiming the green light at the uppermost green point, and then adjusting the orb so red and blue lights align with their respective marks. The first light-splitting puzzle solution.

The journey continues across rising platforms, with players needing to time their movements to avoid spikes. At the next puzzle point, aim the blue light towards a blue point in front of the player and adjust the orb so green and red lights hit their targets.

Further progress leads to an area with spiked floor panels. A Light Source ability reveals a safe blue path across these panels. Following this path leads to the final light-splitting puzzle. Here, align the red light with the uppermost red point and position the orb so green and blue lights strike their designated marks. Successfully completing this section yields the required symbol.

The Colour Reflector Chamber in Chapter 5

Another puzzle in Chapter 5, the Colour Reflector chamber, also requires players to acquire a symbol. This chamber features three colored lights and numerous reflector dishes that must be precisely positioned to illuminate corresponding charge points on a central column.

The green light is directed to a reflector directly opposite it. This reflector is then turned to aim the green light at the green charge point on the central column. The green light solution for the color reflector puzzle.

For the red light, position it to hit a reflector on the far right of the lower platform, potentially requiring the burning of growths. This reflector is then turned to aim the red light at the red charge point. The red light solution part one for the color reflector puzzle.

The blue light's solution is more complex. First, direct the blue light to a reflector behind a rock on a raised platform to the left. The blue light solution part one for the color reflector puzzle. This reflector is then turned to illuminate a lower reflector to its right, which may also have growths to clear. The blue light solution part two for the color reflector puzzle. Finally, this second blue reflector is adjusted to point towards a reflector on a slightly higher platform to its right. The blue light solution part three for the color reflector puzzle. This final reflector is then turned to direct the blue light to the last charge point on the central column. The blue light solution part four for the color reflector puzzle. Successfully charging all three points will reveal the needed symbol.
