How to Start the Bubbly Basin DLC in Pokémon Pokopia

To begin your adventure in the Bubbly Basin DLC for Pokémon Pokopia, you must first purchase the paid expansion. Players can also access features from the accompanying 2.0.0 free update without buying the DLC. The Bubbly Basin DLC introduces a new underwater environment where players assist Ditto in establishing another Pokémon community.

Before diving into the new area, several in-game requirements must be met. Players need to have unlocked the Bleak Beach area, rebuilt the Pokémon Center within it, and learned the Surf move from Lapras. Additionally, the request "Raise the environment level!" in Bleak Beach must be completed by reaching environmental level five, and the move Dive must be learned.

It is important to note that learning both Surf and Dive, as well as achieving the required environmental level, do not necessitate owning the Bubbly Basin DLC. Once these conditions are fulfilled, players can initiate the DLC by visiting the Pokémon Center in Bleak Beach. There, a Popplio will invite you to help their underwater city.

Following Popplio, players must proceed to the Bubbly Basin gate, which is situated underwater on the western side of the Bleak Beach map. Access to this gate is contingent upon having learned the Dive move with Manaphy.
