To enhance Batman and his allies' equipment in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, players must locate Waynetech Caches scattered throughout the game. The Batcave houses ten of these valuable collectibles, many of which are easily accessible or visible. While some caches require a small Stud investment to reach certain areas, their Batcave locations mean they can all be found in one place, making them a convenient upgrade opportunity.
The First Waynetech Cache
The initial Waynetech Cache is unlocked as part of a tutorial shortly after Batman returns to the Batcave. Following simple puzzles and the construction of your Workbench, Alfred will provide the first cache.
For the remaining nine Waynetech Caches, the Batcomputer serves as a useful reference point. Facing the Batcomputer positions you north, while facing the Batmobile below indicates south. The locations below are described relative to major landmarks like the vehicle platform or Workbench. It is assumed that all Batcave expansions have been purchased, as they are necessary to access all caches, though their associated costs can be substantial, potentially running into hundreds of thousands of Studs.
Waynetech Cache Locations
Under the Eastern Bridge
From the Batcomputer, descend to the vehicle platform and look eastward. A bridge leading to an elevator has a glass floor beneath which the cache is visible. Drop to the level below the bridge to retrieve it.
At the Bottom of the Western Elevator Shaft
Position yourself on the vehicle platform south and below the Batcomputer, then face southwest towards the elevator shaft. Look for two golden Studs that lead down to the cache, which rests at the bottom of the shaft.
Near the Costume Display Selector
In the southwestern part of the Batcave, head to the costume selector area. Along the northern wall on the main level, you will find a doorway marked by two golden Studs. The Waynetech Cache is tucked into a corner to the right within this hallway.
Under the Stairs Near the Workbench
Located in the southeastern section of the Batcave near the Workbench, this cache is found by heading to the southern edge of the Workbench platform and looking to the right, beneath the stairs.
In the Display Area
After purchasing the Display Area expansion, located north of the Batcomputer, this Waynetech Cache can be found at its easternmost end. This expansion costs 75,000 Studs.
In the Training Ground
This cache becomes available after unlocking the Training Grounds for 50,000 Studs. Once accessed, look to the right of Catwoman's climbing wall to find the Waynetech Cache.
Below the Challenge Board
To reach this Waynetech Cache, you must first purchase the Clean State expansion for 100,000 Studs. The cache appears on the platform directly below the Challenge board. From the Batcomputer, travel west, around a rock column, and then jump down past the computer used to view challenges.
In a Corner of the Science Lab
Once the Science Lab is unlocked (costing 100,000 Studs), proceed to its eastern edge. The Waynetech Cache is hidden behind the liquid analysis device.
Cave Behind the Elevator
This is potentially the most concealed cache. Approach the northeastern elevator in the Batcave and look to its left. A small cavern leads back into the cliffside. At the end of this cavern is a door that requires Robin to open, revealing the Waynetech Cache within a small nook.
Collecting all these Waynetech Caches in the Batcave will provide a significant boost for upgrading your gear throughout Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
