Collecting all 10 minikits within the Batcave in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a rewarding endeavor, though it requires a mix of exploration and financial investment. Players first gain access to the Batcave proper after completing the initial chapter, at which point seven minikits are readily available without any stud cost.
The remaining three minikits become accessible only after completing the Shreck Department Store mission and recruiting Catwoman. While one of these is free, the other two necessitate significant stud expenditure for cave upgrades.
Early Batcave Minikits
Upon entering the Batcave and facing the large Batman symbol, turn around and look upward. The first minikit is situated on the metal rim encircling the garage.
To find the second minikit, make your way to a ledge near the top of the cave, to the right of the wanted posters. This can be reached by gliding or grappling.
The third minikit is located above the garage walkway. After riding the updrafts in front of the wanted posters, glide towards the circular fixture near the cave's roof. The minikit is found by jumping into the center of this fixture.
Facing the Batmobile shopping terminal, turn left and grapple up to a ledge. Behind a large machine and the Batphone, near the water's edge, a minikit is hidden behind a rock.
From the previous minikit's location, grapple up the ledge and turn right. Interacting with the fishing rod next to a tackle box will yield another minikit.
Below the garage walkway, drop down and navigate towards the sixth minikit.
The seventh minikit is situated behind the elevator shaft on the landing below the wanted posters.
Post-Shreck Department Store Minikits
After completing the Shreck Department Store mission and recruiting Catwoman, the area behind the Batphone becomes accessible for development. Returning to the Batcave and interacting with the terminal will initiate an expansion costing 75,000 studs. A minikit can be found on a platform above the Batman symbol once this upgrade is complete.
A second expansion terminal, located in a cavern above the waterfall, is also available. Using the detection option can help locate interaction points if needed. This terminal facilitates the construction of a science lab, costing 100,000 studs. The ninth minikit is positioned above this newly built lab.
The final minikit is housed within a safe near the wanted posters. This safe can only be opened by Catwoman, who must complete a safebreaking minigame to obtain the last collectible.
While there is no specific in-game reward for collecting all 10 Batcave minikits, their acquisition is crucial for increasing a player's overall progression level within Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
