Pokemon Pokopia's 2.0 update has arrived, introducing a significant new mechanic: diving. This allows players to explore underwater regions of the game world. Alongside this new feature, the Bubbly Basin paid expansion pack brings a host of new Pokemon to discover and befriend. While the dive mechanic is part of the free update, encountering and befriending the new water-themed creatures requires purchasing the Bubbly Basin DLC.
The Bubbly Basin content is the first part of Pokopia's three-part DLC expansion pass. To access it, players must purchase the content from the Nintendo eShop and ensure their game is updated to version 2.0. The Pokemon found within Bubbly Basin are cataloged in a separate Pokedex section, distinct from the main game's Pokedex.
