Pokemon Pokopia's latest 2.0 update introduces a significant quality-of-life improvement with the addition of the Portal Pod, a shared storage system designed to streamline item management. This feature allows players to access stored items from any location, eliminating the need to travel between towns to retrieve specific materials or gear.
Unlocking the Portal Pod Recipe
To begin using the Portal Pod, players must first obtain its crafting recipe. This recipe is unlocked by leveling up the environment within Palette Town. Once the environmental level is sufficiently raised, the Portal Pod recipe can be purchased for 3,000 coins from any Pokemon Center PC.
Crafting and Using the Portal Pod
With the recipe acquired, crafting the Portal Pod requires specific materials: 10 Pokemetal and 1 Rare Pokemetal. For players needing to gather more Pokemetal, a quick method involves visiting Sky Dream Island with Drifloon.
The Portal Pod offers 140 item slots, providing ample space for essential resources and building components. Players are encouraged to build a Portal Pod in each town to ensure convenient access to their shared inventory. For instance, ore collected in one town can be stored and then accessed from a Portal Pod in another town, without requiring any fast travel. This new feature complements the 2.0 update's other additions, including the ability to explore underwater environments.
