Players looking to personalize their Ditto in Pokémon Pokopia can discover a wide array of outfits and hairstyles hidden throughout the game world. These cosmetic items are often inspired by notable characters from previous Pokémon titles, such as gym leaders and trainers.
All unlockable outfits and hairstyles are found by interacting with "human records" scattered across the island. These records appear as glowing objects on the ground, taking the form of magazines, tablets, books, or newspapers marked with a distinctive yellow sparkle. Upon interaction, these items add the associated outfit or hairstyle to your collection. Once unlocked, individual cosmetic pieces can be mixed and matched by interacting with a mirror, allowing for extensive customization.
Some cosmetic items are fixed in specific locations on the main island, while others can only be found on the procedurally generated Dream Islands. The Bubbly Basin DLC has also introduced new cosmetic items, some of which are marked as DLC-exclusive.
Main Island and Bubbly Basin DLC Cosmetics
Several outfits and hairstyles can be found in the primary areas of Pokopia and within the Bubbly Basin DLC. For instance, the Team Rocket outfit can be located in the northwest of Sparkling Skylands within a building. The Rock-solid outfit requires navigating the mines near DJ Rotom in Rocky Ridges, involving a descent into a lava-filled room and ascending ladders. The Ranger outfit is situated near a furnace in the industrial ruins of Bleak Beach, and the Ninja outfit is within a ruined home east of the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center.
The Psychic Master outfit is found as a newspaper in the eroded gym on the eastern island of Sparkling Skylands. The Black Belt outfit rests on the floor of the dojo on the northern island of Sparkling Skylands, accessible via an elevator. The Sailor outfit is located on the S.S. Anne in Bleak Beach, near the steering wheel. The Super Nerd outfit can be found on the path leading into the mines from the room where DJ Rotom is initially encountered.
Hairstyles include Parted hair, found inside the cave where Onix is freed in the Withered Wasteland. Mermaid hair is located on a cliff overlooking the ruined town north of the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center.
DLC-exclusive items include the Mermaid outfit, found in an old building east of the main Bubbly Basin area. The Preschooler outfit is near the preschool past the bridge north of the main Bubbly Basin area. The Triathlete outfit is located under a gazebo northwest of the main Bubbly Basin area. Crested hair is inside a cave above water east of the main Bubbly Basin area, and Ponytail hair can be found above water in a broken house in northern Bubbly Basin.
Dream Island Cosmetics
Outfits and hairstyles can also be unlocked on Dream Islands, which are randomized and accessible only once per day. Players can adjust their system's clock to access more Dream Islands more quickly for cosmetic hunting.
These elusive items are often found behind breakable rock walls within caves, typically in areas containing bookshelves and boxes, resembling submarine-like structures. Discovering these can be rare; some players have reported finding all legendary Pokémon on these islands before encountering more than a few of these cosmetic sets.
Among the Dream Island outfits are the Pokémon Center outfit, Roughneck outfit, Bird Keeper outfit, Red outfit, Fresh outfit, Cool outfit, Rascal outfit, Cozy outfit, Sporty outfit, Chic outfit, Professor outfit, Sightseer outfit, and the DLC-exclusive Rad outfit and Cheerful outfit.
Dream Island hairstyles include Curly, Fluffy, Winged, pigtails, Sideswept, Simple, Long bangs, Messy short (DLC only), and Side tails (DLC only).
