A Pilgrimage for Power is an early-quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker that tasks players with finding four uriashi sacred stones scattered throughout the game's mountainous regions. Unlike many other quests, this pilgrimage does not provide explicit map markers for the next objective, requiring players to rely on environmental cues and exploration.
Successfully completing this questline rewards players with Ravenous Flock Manuals, which ultimately unlock the Ravenous Flock ability. This powerful skill unleashes a devastating area-of-effect attack that can stun enemies and trigger additional attacks, making it a valuable addition to any player's arsenal.
A Pilgrimage for Power: Bear Trouble
After scouting the Briar Sloughs Tower, players will find a quest marker north of Briar Sloughs and south of Laslea Glen. This leg of the pilgrimage directs players to follow windchimes up a mountain. Using the game's Focus Mode will help in identifying the path, which is also marked with white chalk. At the mountain's peak, players will face a Ravenous Bear. Defeating this foe allows access to the first uriashi glyph on a sacred stone, yielding the first Ravenous Flock Manual.
A Pilgrimage for Power: Dark-Thing
The next sacred stone is located in the mountains east of Svartrau and north of the Westridge Outpost shrine. Similar to the previous step, players must follow windchimes up another mountain. This ascent leads to a confrontation with the Essence of Grief. Upon defeating this enemy, uriashi scouts will appear and acknowledge the player's success. The player can then interact with the uriashi glyph on the sacred stone to obtain another Ravenous Flock Manual.
A Pilgrimage for Power: The Ritual
To find the location for The Ritual, players should head south of Tantari Woods. Scouting the Tantari Tower first is recommended, as it reveals a question mark on the map and generally makes navigation easier. Upon approaching the area, the sound of windchimes will again serve as a guide. Following these chimes up the mountain will lead to a battle with the Witch of Barren Peaks. After defeating her, players can loot her body for items such as the Loop of Vitality and then inspect the uriashi glyph on the sacred stone to acquire the third Ravenous Flock Manual.
A Pilgrimage for Power: Fanatics
The final part of the pilgrimage, Fanatics, is located southwest of Tyna's Grove. Players will again follow the sound of windchimes. This time, however, the uriashi glyph on the sacred stone has been destroyed. Fortunately, a drawing of the glyph is present and serves the same purpose. An uriashi NPC will also be encountered here, who is also on his own pilgrimage. This section of the quest does not involve any combat and therefore offers no additional loot beyond the knowledge gained.
Ravenous Flock Ability
Upon successfully collecting all four Ravenous Flock Manuals and completing all stages of A Pilgrimage for Power, players will fully unlock the Ravenous Flock ability. This ability is characterized by an Area Attack and Stun effect applied to a target, which then triggers additional Area Attacks. When fully upgraded, the ability deals 470 Area Damage across four hits, with a duration of 20 seconds. The effort required to find all sacred stones is considered well worth the reward of this potent offensive capability.
