Players venturing into The Blood of Dawnwalker will encounter numerous eerie locations known as Haunted Sites, each teeming with lingering spirits that need to be exorcised. These activities, available only during the day and costing one Time Segment to initiate, reward players with manuals for potent perks like Unholy Vitality and Soul Reaping, alongside other valuable items such as equipment, consumables, and silver. Spectral enemies inhabit these sites, making it advisable to equip weapons effective against supernatural foes.
Haunted Site Locations
There are four Haunted Sites scattered throughout the game world. While some are situated near the central map regions, one is located further south. Successfully clearing these sites grants access to special perk manuals.
Site of Crucifixion
This Haunted Site is located on a hilltop, positioned near the Eerie Knoll shrine and adjacent to an Ancient Circle. The primary reward for cleansing this site is the Unholy Vitality Manual.
Mass Grave
To find the Mass Grave site, players should follow the road leading northeast from Shrike’s Crag. Proceed into the nearby woods, just before reaching a Tatzelwurm Lair. This location yields both the Soul Reaping Manual and an epic item: Tough Leather Boots.
River Massacre
The River Massacre Haunted Site can be found by the riverbed south of the Ruined Hut shrine. This is also the area where players meet Volk during the Buried Past quest. The rewards include another Soul Reaping Manual and an epic weapon, the Grayrock Blade.
Destroyed Caravan
Located directly west of the Howling Keep in Tantari Woods, the Destroyed Caravan site offers an Unholy Vitality Manual as a reward. Additionally, players will receive the epic ring, Nature’s Bane.
Perk Rewards
The Haunted Site activities in The Blood of Dawnwalker are crucial for acquiring manuals that enhance player abilities. The Unholy Vitality perk aids in health regeneration by restoring health after using active abilities. The Soul Reaping perk, on the other hand, inflicts lifesteal on enemies and momentarily staggers them, providing both sustain and crowd control.
