In The Blood of Dawnwalker, players undertaking the 'Echoes of Silenced Bells' main quest will need to acquire the St. Tyna's Necklace relic. This item is crucial for negotiating safe passage to the covenant's library with Brencis's men. The quest to find the necklace is initiated when players assist Anca and are prompted to seek library access.
Initiating the Side Quest
After Anca gives the objective, players should descend from the balcony and move behind the buildings directly ahead. Inspecting a window will reveal a conversation with some of Brencis's soldiers, who will offer their assistance in exchange for the St. Tyna's Necklace relic. The necklace, however, is not found on St. Tyna's corpse within the main chapel. Instead, players must first enter the chapel opposite the soldiers' location. Here, an inspection of St. Tyna's corpse reveals the necklace is missing.
To proceed, players can use the 'Compel Soul' ability on a different corpse within the chapel's main hall during the daytime. Alternatively, if the Catalyst Prayerbook has been acquired from the chapel benches, it can be used on St. Tyna's corpse. If neither of these methods is employed, a note within the chapel will update the objective, directing players to the sacristy. Using 'Compel Soul' on the nun's corpse can also initiate the side quest, "Most Precious Thing," making the relic retrieval the primary goal.
Locating the Relic
The sacristy, situated in the northwestern corner of the courtyard, will be locked. To gain access, players must enter the adjacent shed to the right of the sacristy. Upon opening the shed door, the Monastery Keys will be found, unlocking the sacristy and potentially other locked areas within the covenant.
Inside the sacristy, players will find another corpse near a coffin. This corpse is wearing the Relic of St. Tyna. After investigating this corpse, the relic can be looted.
Once the relic is obtained, players should return it to Brencis's soldiers. Following this, returning to Anca will allow players to secure safe passage to the library, enabling them to continue with the 'Echoes of Silenced Bells' quest.
