Google has officially opened preorders for its new Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, offering incentives such as up to $350 in Amazon gift cards for early purchasers. The new models include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. These devices start at $899 and are scheduled for release on August 20.
While the external design of the Pixel 11 phones largely resembles last year's iterations, they incorporate upgraded specifications and new color choices. Notably, the starting price for all models has increased by $100 compared to their predecessors, but they now begin with 256GB of storage, a doubling from the previous generation's 128GB base storage. Retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy are providing the gift card bonuses, with additional savings available through trade-in programs for older devices.
The standard Pixel 11 features a refined all-glass camera bar and an upgraded 48 MP main lens, which Google states offers 56% improved light sensitivity for enhanced low-light photography. This model is available in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian colorways.
The Pixel 11 Pro introduces enhanced camera capabilities, including a 50MP main camera and a 120x zoom lens. A new addition is the HiLight LED integrated into the camera strip, which can change colors to indicate incoming calls from favorite contacts or alert users when interacting with Gemini, providing information even when the phone is face-down.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL also comes with a $200 gift card bonus.
For users seeking larger screen real estate, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is positioned as the premium option. This foldable device boasts 20% brighter displays, both internally and externally, and is thinner and 3x stronger than its predecessor. It also features improved cameras and the same HiLight notification system as the Pixel 11 Pro.
