Hyperkin's sub-brand Drakong has launched a new controller, dubbed "The Challenger," targeting budget-conscious gamers on Xbox and PC for $35. The controller aims to pack in features typically found in more expensive, pro-style peripherals.
The Challenger features textured grips, hall effect analog sticks and triggers, and two programmable back buttons. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity is handled via a 10-foot USB-C cable, as the controller is a wired-only accessory. Haptic feedback is also listed as a feature.
While the full gaming experience and feel of the controller in hand remain to be seen, its accessible price point suggests potential appeal for those seeking advanced features without a premium cost. The Challenger is available for order now, with shipments expected to begin on July 9th.
