IFA 2026, the premier global consumer technology event, is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, from September 4 to September 8, 2026. The exhibition aims to demonstrate how artificial intelligence, smart homes, digital health, and robotics are rapidly becoming integral parts of daily life. This year's theme, "the future is now," emphasizes that these advancements are not distant possibilities but current realities.

Last year, IFA hosted over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and welcomed more than 220,000 visitors from over 140 countries, achieving a global media reach of 301 billion. The event provides a unique platform for diverse perspectives, bringing together global CEOs, retailers, startup founders, content creators, journalists, and consumers under one roof.

AI is highlighted as a key area of focus, no longer existing as a separate category but as the underlying technology connecting various aspects of consumer tech. This integration extends to beauty tech, preventative health tools, connected fitness, and wellness devices, reflecting a consumer trend toward personalized and health-oriented daily routines.

Beyond the exhibition floor, IFA 2026 is expanding its offerings with events at Sommergarter, an open-air venue. Scheduled performances include electronic music by BUNT on September 3, a rap and hip-hop set by Luciano on September 4, and a trap, techno, and Berlin club energy performance by Ikkimel & Friends on September 5. Additionally, live podcast recordings, including "Mord auf Ex" and "Wine Wednesday," are planned for September 6.

A significant addition to this year's event is the reopening of the ICC Berlin. This landmark building, closed for over a decade, will offer additional opportunities for attendees to engage with the technologies and innovations on display. IGN will be present at IFA 2026 to cover the event's developments.
