Razer has introduced the Soma Chroma, its first wireless RGB gaming chair. This new offering brings the company's signature vibrant lighting to its line of gaming furniture, a feature that has become a running joke among fans due to Razer's tendency to incorporate RGB into nearly all its products.
The Soma Chroma features reactive lighting around the shoulders and head, designed to illuminate the user's back. According to Razer, the chair's RGB lighting can wirelessly sync with over 300 PC games, including titles such as Borderlands 4, Battlefield 6, and 007 First Light. For those who prefer less integration, the chair also includes 10 pre-set lighting options. IMAGE2
Powering the lighting is a built-in USB-C connection, allowing users to connect to a standard power bank for a completely wireless setup. The chair also includes a pocket to hold the power supply. An onboard control panel enables users to adjust lighting effects and brightness. IMAGE3
Beyond its illumination, the Soma Chroma is constructed for comfort during extended gaming sessions. It features a lumbar curve designed to promote a neutral sitting posture, a reinforced steel frame for durability, and a dual-density cold-cured foam seat cushion. IMAGE4
The Razer Soma Chroma is priced at $500 and is scheduled to launch in July, with preorders available on the Razer Store. IMAGE5 IMAGE6 IMAGE7 IMAGE8
This week also saw Virtuix announce the Omni One, a full-body movement system designed for Meta. This rig allows users to walk, run, crouch, and jump in a 360-degree space while remaining stationary, aiming to provide a more immersive VR experience. IMAGE9 IMAGE10 IMAGE11 IMAGE12
