The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headset is currently available at a 34% discount, bringing its price down to $250 on Amazon. This reduction highlights the appeal of its hot-swappable battery system, a feature lauded as a significant advantage for wireless audio peripherals.
The ability to swap batteries on the fly eliminates the downtime typically associated with charging wireless headsets, allowing for a more continuous and untethered gaming experience. The headset comes with two 30-hour battery packs. Despite the premium price point, even at a discount, the Arctis Nova Pro offers a suite of high-end features.
Comfort is a notable aspect, with one reviewer noting it was so comfortable they hardly had reason to remove it. The headset also features an impressive active noise cancellation system, utilizing a four-mic hybrid setup. This system includes three levels of ambient sound passthrough, effectively isolating the user from external noise.
Further enhancing the user experience is the inclusion of SteelSeries' Sonar software, which works in conjunction with the headset's 40mm drivers to refine audio output. The Arctis Nova Pro also supports simultaneous connections to two devices, integrating both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless capabilities for a versatile audio setup.
The package includes a dedicated DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). This unit serves as the charging dock for the hot-swappable batteries but also functions as a 96kHz/24-bit amplifier. Coupled with the Sonar software's equalizer and the headset's wide frequency response, the DAC contributes to the clarity and quality of the audio delivered by the newly designed drivers.
