A demo for Final Fantasy Resonance is now available, Square Enix announced during a recent State of Play presentation. The playable version allows players to experience the game ahead of its official release on October 22.
Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The announcement also confirmed that Sephiroth, one of the most recognizable antagonists from the Final Fantasy series, will make an appearance in the game. While the inclusion of Sephiroth may not come as a surprise given that the game is a substantially reworked port of the mobile title Final Fantasy Brave Exvius—which itself featured numerous character cameos from across the Final Fantasy franchise, including Cloud—his official confirmation provides an additional point of interest for players.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius originally showcased a wide array of characters from various Final Fantasy installments, making Sephiroth's presence in Resonance a natural, albeit welcome, addition.
