The epic journey of Final Fantasy VII's ambitious remake project will conclude with Final Fantasy VII Revelation, set to launch on April 8, 2027. The release date was announced via a trailer during a recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, marking over seven years since the initial remake.
Revelation will feature Cloud and his companions in their final confrontation with Sephiroth and the formidable Weapons. The trailer offered glimpses of key characters including Cid, Yuffie, Red XIII, Vincent, Barret, Tifa, Cait Sith, and Cloud. The game's narrative will culminate with Cloud's declaration, "Nobody knows what's waiting for us down there. But honestly? It's nothing the eight of us can't handle."
Beyond the narrative conclusion, Final Fantasy VII Revelation will introduce new gameplay systems and explore a new city, including a feature for cat photography. The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
