The breakout horror film 'Obsession,' directed by 26-year-old Curry Barker, is set to arrive on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on July 14. The film, which began as a $750,000 production and grossed over $370 million worldwide, is available for preorder now from major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Gruv.
The Collector's Edition will be offered in two formats. The 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital version includes the film in 4K with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. This edition also features bonus content such as "Obsession Unleashed," a behind-the-scenes feature with interviews from Barker and the cast, and a feature commentary track with director, writer, and editor Curry Barker. Pricing for the 4K Collector's Edition varies by retailer, listed at $33 on Amazon, $28 at Walmart, and $28 at Gruv.
A standard Blu-ray + Digital edition will also be available, containing the same bonus features but without the 4K Ultra HD disc. This version is priced at $34 on Amazon, $23 at Walmart, and $23 at Gruv.
This release follows a successful theatrical run for 'Obsession,' which was acquired by Focus Features and has become a notable success from a director who initially gained recognition through YouTube short films. While no specific preorder bonuses were announced, the Collector's Edition offers additional content for fans looking to own a physical copy of the film.
