Preorders for the physical editions of Metroid Ravenous have gone live in the UK for the Nintendo Switch 2, including the highly anticipated Special Edition priced at £99.99. The special edition, which includes the game, a Steelbook case, and a Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo exclusive to this package, sold out within minutes of becoming available on the Nintendo UK store.

This exclusive amiibo was a significant draw for the special edition, likely contributing to its rapid sell-out. Retailers are being monitored for restocks, and Nintendo may release additional waves of stock.

Standard editions of Metroid Ravenous are available starting at £49.99 for a digital copy and £58.99 for the physical version. The game is confirmed to include a physical cartridge, ensuring ownership for collectors and for those concerned about future digital access.

Alongside the game, separate amiibo figures are also available, including the Samus amiibo for £16.99 and the Choco Statue amiibo for £33.99. These are slated for release alongside Metroid Ravenous on January 28, 2027.

Metroid Ravenous is a new 2D side-scrolling adventure that serves as a follow-up to Metroid Dread. It continues the story of bounty hunter Samus Aran, with early indications suggesting a tone and gameplay similar to its predecessor, which received a 9/10 from IGN. The game's trailer hints at Samus facing severe injuries and a desperate struggle for survival on a hostile moon, with dialogue suggesting a brutal, "eat or be eaten" scenario.
