Minecraft Dungeons 2 is slated for release on September 29 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will allow players to return to its dungeon-crawling gameplay, playable solo or in co-op. The narrative of Minecraft Dungeons 2 involves rifts appearing across the Overworld, which lead to a new dimension called the Sift. Players will explore this new world, combat enemies, and acquire new items and gear to face increasingly powerful foes.
Two editions of Minecraft Dungeons 2 are available for preorder: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition.
The Standard Edition, priced at $29.99, is a digital-only release. It includes the base game and the preorder bonus content.
The Deluxe Edition is available in both digital and physical formats, costing $49.99. The digital version includes the base game, the preorder bonus, and additional digital items: four hero skins, a Soul cape, a Blub pet, and downloadable content packs 1 and 2 as they are released. The physical Deluxe Edition is also priced at $49.99 and contains the same in-game bonuses. Retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and GameStop are offering the physical version for various platforms. It is noted that the Switch 2 physical release is a game-key card, requiring a download rather than containing the game on a cartridge.
