Capcom has announced that the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 next month, on October 16. Physical versions of the games are slated for release in January 2027.

These titles will be available for individual purchase, allowing players to select which installments they wish to acquire. Each remake will include its respective downloadable content. Notably, Resident Evil 4's package will feature the 'Separate Ways' expansion, which centers on the character Ada Wong. No additional unique features or graphical enhancements beyond what has been seen on other platforms have been detailed for these Switch 2 ports.

With these upcoming releases, nearly all mainline Resident Evil titles will be natively accessible on the platform. Capcom previously launched Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose for the console. While native versions of Resident Evil 1, 5, and 6 are not yet available, they can be played on the Switch 2 via backward compatibility with the Nintendo Switch 1 library.

Looking ahead, the remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, now titled Resident Evil Veronica, is scheduled for release next year and will also launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. Further details on this project are expected to emerge.
